Vecna, also known as One, is a primary antagonist in the Netflix series Stranger Things. He originates from Hawkins, Indiana, born as Henry Creel, with powerful psychic abilities.

Henry exhibited unusual behaviors as a child, manipulating objects and animals with his mind, eventually leading him to murder his mother and sister. Dr. Martin Brenner, recognizing his potential, took Henry into his custody at Hawkins National Laboratory, where he became the first test subject, designated 001.

Growing resentful of humanity and embracing his power, One manipulated Eleven, another test subject, into removing a power-dampening device from his neck. After a brutal massacre in the lab, Eleven, in self-defense, overpowered One and banished him to the Upside Down.

In the Upside Down, Henry transformed into Vecna, a monstrous creature possessing immense psychic abilities. He meticulously orchestrated events in Hawkins, targeting vulnerable teenagers with past traumas to open gates between the two dimensions, aiming to reshape the world in his image.
